DESCRIPTION
Introducing the new XAK Mainspring for AK platforms. Our new mainspring is a tri-twist, music wire AK mainspring that provides a 2+ pound pull weight, and a hard, positive reset on our popular XAK series triggers. Our XAK Mainspring is compatible with our XAK line of triggers, as well as other stock and aftermarket AK fire controls. NOTE: Pull weight and feel may vary from receiver-to-receiver, and trigger-to-trigger as there is no "mil-spec" standard for all AK platforms. At HIPERFIRE we do our best to be as open and deliberate as possible with the information we put out. Stated pull weights are true with the combination of HIPERFIRE XAK triggers and XAK Mainsprings. We cannot guarantee pull weights in other configurations using triggers or mainsprings from other brands.HIPERTOUCH Elite: “I just installed a Hyperfire Elite trigger in my AR-10. My goal was to cure some fail to fire issues due to light primer strikes using some foreign military surplus ammo. I have only installed an AR trigger once before and was thinking the Hyperfire trigger could be a problem for me to install. It was way easier than I thought. I did learn one trick to pass along. The trigger and hammer installation is very straight forward. Compressing the coil springs looked like a problem area. I used a 5/32 inch pin punch (flat working end) and cupped my free hand over the spring assembly to prevent lost springs. Success on the first attempt with no flying parts. The trick is to position the yoke just above the notch where it will rest. Push straight in and slightly downward and it falls right into place. The difference between the Elite trigger and military stock trigger is amazing.”
